Hare, 66, of Grantsville, died June 6, 1974, in Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born in Jennings, Md., she was a daughter of Mrs. Mary (Miller) Bittinger, and the late Silas Bittinger. Her husband, Sherman Hare, preceded her in death. Surviving are six sons, Sylvan Hare, Rockwood; Dwight Hare, Eldersburg, Md.; Basil Hare, Streetsboro, Ohio; Denzil, Dalton and Adam Hare, all of College Park, Mr.; five daughters, Mrs. Helena Resh, Flintstone, Md.; Mrs. Bernice Broadwater and Mrs. Delta Broadwater, both of Grantsville; Mrs. Alla Birkby, Pittsburgh; and Mrs. Erma Wilhelm, Alexandria, Va.; also 35 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was a sister of Darius Bittinger, Bittinger, Md.; Theodore and Ellis Bittinger, Miss Elsie Bittinger and Mrs. Alma Clegg, Grantsville; Sherman Bittinger and Mrs. Ellen Molnar, Akron, Ohio; and Mrs. Stella Wiley, Salisbury. Funeral service was conducted Sunday afternoon in Maranatha Assembly of God Church, of which she was a member, with Rev. William Ferfuson officiating. Interment in Grantsville Cemetery.
