(Bunny) Hare Sr., 83, of 810 Memorial Avenue, Cumberland, Md., died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 1986, at the University of Maryland Hospital, where he had been a patient 1 1/2 months. Born in Cumberland, Md., he was a son of the late Thomas Hare and Nancy (Dycke) Hare. He formerly owned the Old Homestead Club on Virginia Avenue. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias and attended Christ United Methodist Church. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Virginia E. (Stewart) Hare; two sons, Thomas Hare, Ellerslie, Md.; and Roy T. (Ted) Hare Jr., LaVale, Md.; two daughters, Mrs. Gene Lauver, Meyersdale; and Mrs. Joan Haj-Shafi, Silver Spring, Md.; a sister, Mrs. Mary Martz, Fort Ashby, W.Va.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Silcos-Merritt Funeral Residence where services were conducted Friday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Wayne Turner. Interment, Hillcrest Burial Park.
