  RAY W. HARKCOM
  
    Ray W. Harkcom, 76, of Rockwood RD 1, died Sept. 8, 1975, in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born Sept. 16, 1898, in Westmoreland County, he was a
  son of David and Merilla (Vought) Harkcom.  He was preceded in death by his
  first wife, the former Leora Mae Shaulis; a son and a daughter.
    Surviving are his widow, the former Ida M. Prissey; and these children:
  Mrs. Clyde (Bernice) Gray, Orlando, Fla.; William Harkcom of Dallas, Texas;
  Luther, Guy and James, all of Somerset RD 2; Mrs. Dewey (Faye) Meyers,
  Somerset; Clifford, Albuquerque, N.M.; and Elwood, of Las Vegas, Nev.; two
  stepchildren, Robert Gerhart and Mrs. Emerson (Margaret) Hoffman, both of
  Akron, Ohio; also 20 grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren and two
  great-grandchildren.
    He was a brother of George Harkcom of Somerset, Alfred of Kent, Ohio; and
  Mrs. Daniel (Mabel) Shaulis of Somerset RD 2; and a half-brother of Bert
  Harkcom of Mechanicsburg; and Mrs. Jake (Julia) Stahl of Kecksburg.
    Mr. Harkcom was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, Somerset.
    Funeral service was held Wednesday afternoon in Richard E. Hauger Funeral
  Home, Somerset, with Bishop Irvin J. Knieriem officiating.  Interment in
  Pike Run Cemetery, Brotherton.
