He was born March 7, 1900 in Napier Township, Bedford County, son of John and Sarah Ellen (Kinsey) Harmon. He is survived by his wife, Leora Glessner; and these children: Ruth Bruck, Fairhope RD 1; Edgar (Bud) Somerset RD 2; Eva Jean Chaplin and Fannie Mae Blizzard, both of Bridgeton, N.J.; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; one brother, Roy, Johnstown; one niece, Martha Jane Simms, Hagerstown, Md.; and one cousin, Jermima Harmon, Manns Choice. He was a member of the New Centerville Fireman's and Thresherman's Association. He was a retired Allegheny Township farmer and retired employee of Somerset County. Friends were received in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where services were conducted with the Rev. Charles Shetler of Bedford and the Rev. D.R. Buchanan officiating. Interment, Schellsburg Cemetery.
