Born August 17, 1929, in Shellsburg, he is the son of the late Clarence H. and Leora M. (Glessner) Harmon. Also preceded in death by sister, Fanny Mae Blizzard and a stepson James Hess. Survived by his wife Carolyn (Frye) Hess Harmon, children: Roy Harmon and Janet Brant both of Tennessee, and Mrs. Bob (Brenda) Hoover of Missouri. Stepchildren: John H. Hess, Ligonier; Mrs. Larry (Beth Ann) Monticue, Ligonier; Mrs. Lloyd (Betty Jo) Erb, Ligonier; three grandchildren and five step grandchildren; sisters Ruth Bruck, Berlin, and Eva Jean Chaplin, Bridgeton, N.J. Korean War veteran, life member of VFW Post 554, member of American Legion Post 0257, Stoystown, F.O.E. Aerie 1801 and Jenner Rod and Gun Club. Owner and operator of his own trucking company. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Thursday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Chauncey Ickes officiating.
