He fell from the boat in which he and two companions, Wilson Lute and Perry Caton, were fishing, and was drowned. Firemen from Somerset and Berlin grappled for more than two hours before recovering the body which rested in 18 feet of water. Persons at the scene of the accident tried in vain to recover the body before the Firemen arrived. Mr. Harmon operated a sawmill east of Berlin. He was born in Allegheny Twp., May 2, 1909, a son of Edward and Annie Harmon. He is survived by his wife, Bessie Fritz Harmon, his parents and seven children - Grant Jr., Betty, Harold, Carl, Eugene, Larry and Linda, and one sister, Mrs. George Benning, Berlin R.D. 5. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Sarver Church, with Pastor Greer officiating. Interment in the adjacent cemetery, under direction of Johnson & Son. Meyersdale Republican, June 20, 1946
