HAROLD Dayton Gordon Harold, 83, Hyndman RD 1, a former city resident who has lived in Hyndman since 1944, died July 20, 1982 at Rowsers Nursing Home, Mann's Choice RD 1. He was born in Horton, W.Va., Nov. 11, 1898, and was a son of the late George Markwood Harold and Ida Mae (Teeter) Harold. His wife, Eva (Pressman) Harold, preceded him in death. He was a retired supervisor of the Cumberland Cement and Supply Company and served in the 29th Division of the United States Army during World War I. He was a member of American Legion Post 13, Fraternal Order of Eagles 245, and was a life member of the Cumberland Outdoor Club and the Barrelville Outdoor Club. He is survived by one son, Dayton G. Harold Jr., Hyndman RD 1; one sister, Mrs. Mina Cook, Cumberland; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Harvey H. Ziegler Funeral Home in Hyndman where services were conducted with the Rev. Kerry Cathers officiating. Interment was in the German Beneficial Cemetery, Baltimore Avenue. Pallbearers were Harry Appel, Robert Appel, David Rice, Earl Metty, Joe Mooney and Clyde Bantz. The Republic, July 29, 1982 [H0327]
