Harris, 71, Salisbury, died Dec. 16, at his home. Born July 1, 1896, in West Salisbury, a son of Fred J. and Mae (Lambert) Harris. Surviving are his wife, the former Hazel P. Meager; two sons, John R. Harris of Havra de Grace, Md.; David E. Jr. Sylvania, Ohio; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was a brother of Dewey Harris, Jerome; Percy and Fay Harris, both of West Salisbury; and Mrs. Marion Walker, Jerome. Harris was a member of Meyersdale Lodge 554, F and AM; Salisbury American Legion, Salisbury IOOF 982, and was a veteran of World War I. Funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon in Thomas Funeral Home, with Rev. William A. Cassidy officiating. Interment was made in Salisbury IOOF Cemetery.
