All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ ISABELLA HARTLAND Mrs. Isabella Hartland, widow of the late Thomas Hartland, of Coal Run, died at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Edward Robertson on Thursday, May 17, at 8:05 a.m., of carsinoma and a complication of diseases. Her husband died many years ago, and she lived alone in Coal Run for many years, then moved to Pittsburgh and several months ago came back to finish out her life span at the home of her granddaughter. She was born in Glencoe on January 24, 1867, daughter of Jacob and Sarah Martz, and was aged 78 years, 3 months and 23 days at her death. She had been very ill for about six weeks. Mrs. Hartland is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Clara Krause of Pittsburgh, and Mrs. Mary Lewis, living in California; one son, Jacob Hartland, of Jerome; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Purbaugh, of Swissvale, Pa.; Mrs. Sadie Mankamyer and Mrs. William Murray, both of Cumberland, Md., and by six grandchildren in addition to Mrs. Robertson. Funeral services were conducted in the Coal Run Church on Monday, May 21st, at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Ira S. Monn officiating. Interment in the Hyndman Cemetery in charge of Stanley M.
