  AUGUSTUS R. HARTLE
  
    Augustus R. (Gus) Hartle, 98, of Meyersdale, died June 22, 1983, at
  Meyersdale Community Hospital.
    He was born May 15, 1885, in Clearfield County, a son of the late John
  and Mary (Ollinger) Hartle.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Agnes Hipp, and a son,
  Richard.
    He is survived by a son, Robert J., of Gibsonia; also four grandchildren
  and two great-grandchildren.
    He was a brother of Lawrence, of Meyersdale.  He retired as an engineer
  with the B&O Railroad after 40 years of service.
    He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Maple Leaf Rod and Gun
  Club.
    Friends were received at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale.  Mass of
  Christian Burial was conducted at Sts. Philip and James Roman Catholic
  Church, Meyersdale, with the Rev. Matthew Misurda officiating.  Interment,
  church cemetery.
