Hartle, 90 of Meyersdale, died July 14, 1999, in Meyersdale. Born March 26, 1909, in Meyersdale. A son of the late Sarah Hartle McKenzie. Survived by his wife, the former Mary Darrah, and two children: Martha Munsch and John C. Hartle, both of Pittsburgh. Also two grandchildren: Katherine and Daniel Munsch. A brother of Charles McKenzie, Meyersdale, and Mary Agnes Bolden, Pittsburgh. Retired from the Pa. Liquor Control Board with 40 years as manager and supervisor. A veteran of U.S. Army World War II. Member of SS. Philip & James Catholic Church, Meyersdale; VFW Post 3504; and Train Collectors Assoc. A member and past commander of American Legion Post 112; honorary director of the Pa. Maple Festival; life and charter member of the B.P.O.E. Lodge 1951; life member of the Meyersdale Vol. Fire Dept. Served on the Meyersdale Municipal Authority for several years, and was a former football official. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale. Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at SS. Philip & James Catholic Church, with the Rev. Donald W. Dusza celebrant. Committal will be at SS. Philip & James Cemetery.
