After being baptized and confirmed, she remained a faithful member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, of Accident. On December 16, 1863, she was united in wedlock with Henry Frederick William Hartman, who preceded her in death, July 21st, 1905. This marriage was blessed with two sons, Rev. Horace Hartman, of Chicago, and John Hartman, of Accident. She was also the foster mother of two adopted daughters, Mrs. Charles Niermann, of Cole Camp, Mo., and Mrs. J. R. Leinbach, of Allentown, Pa. After a long and trying illness, she was called home on October 1st, 1932, having attained the age of 82 years, 9 months and 9 days. Her death was caused by hardening of the arteries. She leaves to mourn her departure her two sons and two foster daughters, seven grandchildren and two brothers. Her funeral took place Tuesday, October 4, her pastor, Rev. A. W. Gode, officiating. Meyersdale Republican, October 6, 1932
