  RUTH E. HARTMAN
  
    Ruth E. Hartman, 83, died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 1988, at Fallston, Md.,
  General Hospital.
    Born July 11, 1905 in Garrett County, Md., she was the daughter of the
  late Peter and Mary (Platter) Beachy.
    She was a member of the Salisbury Church of the Brethren.  Her husband
  was the late Herman Hartman.
    Surviving are one daughter, Mary Ann Tressler, Jarrettsville, Md.; two
  grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Thomas Funeral Home where services were
  conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Daniel J. Whitacre.
    Interment, Salisbury Cemetery.
