    James L. Hassel, 25, of Denver RD 1, Pa., died Oct. 1, 1989, in
  Harrisonburg, Va.  Born Feb. 14, 1964, in Lancaster, son of William and
  Clara (Morris) Hassel of Friedens RD 2.  Preceded in death by brother
  William.  Survived by wife, the former Sondra Miller; son, William J.; and
  daughter, Elizabeth.  Brother of Susan, Karen Patricia, Robert and Michael.
  Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service at 2 p.m. Wednesday
  at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, with the Rev. Walter J. Emswiler
  officiating.  Interment, Glade Cemetery.
