Hauger, 86, Berlin, died March 6, 2004, at Somerset Hospital. Born Aug. 20, 1917, in Meyersdale, the daughter of Walter Saylor and Clara (Kendall) Saylor Shoemaker. Preceded in death by her parents; husband of 49 years, James H. Hauger; sisters, Mrs. J. Richard (Regina) Ross, Mrs. Ernest (Mary) Allman and Mrs. Joseph (Elthea) Livengood; and an infant brother John. Survived by a son, Harold, Berlin; brothers, Raymond Saylor, Salisbury and James Saylor, Cumberland, Md.; sisters, Dorthea Gabell, Meyersdale, Mrs. Donald (Jean) Wahl, Berlin; and the Kendall clan. She was inspector for B.F. Goodrich, Akron, Ohio, during World War II. Member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin, and its Jolly Quilters until her eyesight began to fail. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Glenn P. Foster officiating.
