HAY Mrs. Ada Margretta Hay, 77, of 1208 East Hamilton Avenue, Tampa, Fla., died May 12, 1981 in Tampa. She was born May 15, 1903 in Northampton Township, daughter of the late Harvey McClellan and Anna (Scheller) Poorbaugh. She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her husband, Royden B. Hay; two daughters: Mrs. John (Margretta) McGary of Gainsville, Fla. and Mrs. Edward (Janet) Legerton of El Cajon, California; four grandchildren: Larry McGary, St. Petersburg, Fla.; Gary, Jeffrey, and Cheryl Legerton, all of San Diego, Ca. and two great grandchildren, Brent and Wendy McGary. Also survived by two sisters: Mrs. Bertha Smith, Charleston, W.Va.; and Mrs. Herman (Mary) Keefer of Akron, Ohio. Her death terminated a marriage of 54 years. She and Royden were married September 8, 1926 at her childhood church, Mt. Lebanon Reformed Church, Glencoe. The Hay's owned and operated Royden's parental home farm near the Hay's Church in Brothersvalley Township for many years and were residents of Tampa for nearly 29 years. Funeral services were held in Tampa on May 15. Interment, Garden of Memories, Tampa. The Republic, June 11, 1981 [H0508]
