ALICE VIOLA HAY

  Mrs. Alice Viola Hay, widow of the late Sylvester Hay, died at 8:15 a.m., 
Tuesday, January 25, at her home, Meyersdale, R.D. 2.  Her age was 82 years, 7 
months, and 23 days, having been born June 2, 1861, the daughter of Joel Berkley 
and Elizabeth Wengerd Berkley.
  She is survived by one son, Edison M. Hay; two grandchildren, Mrs. George 
Paxton, Meyersdale, and Dr. Josephine Hay, Emlenton, Pa., and by two sisters, 
Mrs. Mahlon Hay and Mrs. Jacob Glessner.
  Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Hay home, Rev. 
F. D. Witmer, pastor of the Hay Reformed Church, officiating, with interment in 
the Hay Cemetery. W. C. Price and Son, morticians, have charge of arrangements.
