Hay Sr., 77, of Glencoe RD 1, died Oct. 30, 1996, at Somerset Hospital. Born July 14, 1919, in Brothersvalley Township, son of Ralph and Clara (Broesecker) Hay. Preceded in death by parents and sister, Eleanor. Survived by wife of 56 years, the former Marjorie Meyers; children: Carl A. Jr., married to the former Betty Keefer, Glencoe RD 1, and Karen, married to Thomas Glessner, Berlin RD 3; grandchildren: Dwayne A. Hay, Carla A. Chonko, Neal and Andrea Glessner. Brother of Donald W. and John Edward Hay, both of Berlin RD 3, and James of Mendocino, Calif. World War II Army veteran. Retired farmer and Pa. Turnpike supervisor. Member of New Hope United Church of Christ, where he served in many positions. Member of Berlin Post 445, American Legion, and Pa. Farmers Association. Member and past president of Berlin Historical Society and Mt. Lebanon Cemetery Association. No visitation or viewing. Private service at the convenience of the family. Interment, Mt.
