Hay, 71, died last Sunday evening at his home on Berlin R.D. 3 after an extended illness. A son of Benjamin and Harriet (Glessner) Hay, he was born on Nov. 17, 1871. His wife, Carrie (Lantz) Hay, died some years ago. Survivors include three children - Mrs. Roy E. Baker, Reading, Mass.; Harriet Ruth Hay and Mrs. Ella Werner, both of Berlin R.D. 3; four grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. W. H. B. Carney, Berlin, and three brothers - Dr. Ellis M. Hay, Chicago; Rev. B. K. Hay, Front Royal, Va., and William F. Hay, Berlin R.D. 3. Mr. Hay was a member of the Hay Reformed Church. Meyersdale Republican, May 13, 1943
