Hay, 83, of 424 Patton St., Somerset, died Oct. 2, 1987, at Windber Hospice. Born Oct. 4, 1903, in Jenner Township, son of the late Walter B. and Mary J. (Sachs) Hay. Preceded in death by first wife, the former Clara Willison, who died in 1977. Survived by wife, the former Vera Maguire; stepchildren: Mrs. Howard (Marie) Ostrander, North Huntington; Mrs. Shirley Ann Nicora, Carol City, Fla.; Mrs. Donna Jean Banas, Long Beach, Calif.; and Mrs. Robert (Sharon Lynn) Bonham, Greenfield, Calif.; eight step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and uncle, Jay O. Hay of Newark, Del. Attended Somerset Church of the Nazarene. Was a retired Boswell funeral director and a former member of Somerset County, Pennsylvania, and National Funeral Directors associations, and Boswell Lions Club. A retired life member of Boswell Volunteer Fire Company. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, the Rev. Charles P.
