  Edgar L. Hay, 85, Berlin RD 3, died suddenly at his residence Saturday,
  Aug. 6, 1977.  He was born in Brothersvalley Township, May 14, 1892, son of
  Wesley and Sarah (Walker) Hay.  He was married to Ida C. Wilhelm who died in
  1975.  He was a farmer in Brothersvalley Township and a member of the United
  Church of Christ in Berlin.  He was preceded in death by his wife, three
  brothers and two sisters.  He is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Mary
  Harrison, and Miss Betty Hay, both of Berlin RD 3; three grandchildren,
  five great-grandchildren; one brother, John, Vitondale, Pa.; and a sister,
  Miss Nelle Hay, Somerset.  Friends will be received at the Johnson and Son
  Funeral Home, 705 Main St., Berlin, Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where
  services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m., the Rev. Charles W. Sigler,
  officiating.  Interment, IOOF Cemetery, Berlin.
