Born May 12, 1919, in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, she is the daughter of the late John A. and Iva Myrtle (Lape) Putman. Also preceded in death by her husband, Carl P. Hay; three brothers and nine sisters. Survived by son, Lloyd C. Hay, and grandson, Lloyd C. Hay Jr.; sisters, Stella Fisher and Lois Jean Robinson, both of Somerset; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Formerly owned and operated Hays Cash Market in Meyersdale for 12 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Women of the Moose. Friends were received Friday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Dr. Mark Ongley officiating. Interment in the Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.
