HAY George Elmer Hay, 70, of Falls Church, VA, died Jan. 16, 1984 in Falls Church. He was born, November 20, 1913 in Johnstown, son of the late Robert Glen and Margaret Emma (Dropp) Hay. His paternal grandparents, Simon F. and Sarah (Suder) Hay were former residents of Brothersvalley Township. He is survived by his wife, the former Regina Jarbo and one daughter, Mrs. John D. (Margaret Ann) White, of Falls Church, Va. Also survived by one sister and one brother: Mrs. Nelson H. (Catherine) Yoder, Jr., and Robert V. Hay, both of Davidsville. He retired after a 30-year career as a clarinetist with the United States Army Band in 1963. He grew up in Johnstown, graduated in 1931 from Johnstown High School and was accepted into the Army Band as its youngest member in August 1933. Interment was held at the Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. The Republican, February 2, 1984 [H0537]
