Hay, 77, of Patriot Manor, Somerset, formerly of Berlin, died Dec. 12, 1996, at Somerset Hospital. Born June 9, 1919, in Berlin, son of Robert and Eleanor (Weighley) Hay. Preceded in death by parents; his wife, Martha, in October 1992; brothers: William and Walter. Survived by a son, David, married to the former Marlene Brown of Littleton, Colo.; daughter: Mrs. Ronald (Phyllis) Sarver of Berlin; grandsons: Michael Sarver, Jonathan and Andrew Hay. A sister, Sadie Hay of Westernport, Md., and half brothers: Dorlin of Bedford, and Gordon of Binghamton, N.Y. Retired Brothersvalley Township farmer. World War II Army veteran. Member of Shanksville Assembly of God. Family will receive friends at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, from 1 p.m. until service at 3 p.m. Sunday, at his request, with Rev. Arthur Mahaffey officiating.
