Born March 10, 1896, in Jefferson Township, a daughter of late Charles and Ella (Miller) Ream. Preceded in death by parents, one daughter Frances L. Patterson and two infant children. Also preceded by two brothers; Jacob and Frank Ream and two sisters; Anna Barkley and Ella Saylor. Survived by husband Warren K. Hay and one daughter E. Marie, Mesa, Ariz.; one son Jay O. Hay, Somerset; grandchildren; Master Sgt. Roy Patterson, Lakenheath Air Base, England and David Hay, Anna Cober, Sue Halverson, Jay O. Jr. Hay and John W. Hay all of Somerset; and Beverly DeCastro, Freeport, Ill.; ten great-grandchildren. Last of the Charles Ream family. Her death terminated a marriage of 73 years. Member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Somerset. Former member of Homemakers, Ladies Democrat Club. Formerly attended Salem Reform Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher. Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, Somerset. Funeral services Monday 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ with the Rev. Glenn E. Sadler officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park. Body will lie in state in the church from 12:30 p.m. until hour of service.
