He was born Aug. 21, 1913, in Brothersvalley Twp., a son of J. Nevin and Edith (Engle) Hay. Preceded in death by parents; his wife, the former Minnie Ash, who died in 1983; and his sister, Helen. He is survived by these children: Harold, married to the former Betty Fike, Berlin RD 3; Mrs. John (Dorothy) Watkins, Berlin RD 4; Mrs. Neil (Ruth) Brant, Mt. Holly, N.J.; Mrs. William (Sandra) Thompson, Middletown, Md.; also eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was a brother of: Mrs. Margaret Perez, Lubbock, Texas; Robert Hay, Berlin RD 3; and Mrs. William (Romaine) Robinson, LaVale, Md. He was a retired dairy farmer, a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Berlin, Valley Grange 878, Holstein Association, Berlin Community Grove Association, a former member of the Pennsylvania Farmer's Association and the Somerset County Fair board. Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Sunday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with the Revs. Carl W.
