MAHLON HAY

  Mahlon Hay, 79, of Meyersdale RD 2, died Monday, August 15 at his home.  He 
was born in Brothersvalley township December 16, 1869, the son of the late Henry 
and Lydia Cober Hay.
  His wife, Mrs. Martha Berkley Hay, survives with the following children: 
Royden Hay, Meyersdale; Mrs. Howard Werner, Berlin; also seven grandchildren and 
five great-grandchildren.  Two brothers, Harvey G. Hay of Berlin and Horace Hay 
of Washington, D.C. and a sister, Miss Myra Hay of Silver Spring, Md., survive.
  Mr. Hay was a prominent farmer of Brothersvalley township.  He was an active 
member of Hays, Mt. Zion Reformed Church.
  Funeral services were held in the Johnson and Son Funeral Home this Thursday 
at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. D.S. Stephen officiating.
  Interment in the church cemetery under direction of Johnson and Son.
