Hay, 93, Jennerstown, died Jan. 14, 1987, at Somerset Community Hospital. Born Feb. 5, 1893, in Jennerstown, son of John Oliver and Martha E. (Countryman) Hay. Preceded in death by parents; sisters: Laura, Ada and Binnie; brothers: Walter, John, Lester, Harry and William. Survived by brother, Jay O., Newark, Del.; also numerous nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. Past member of former United Church of Christ, Jennerstown. Army veteran of World War I, member of D.A.V., recipient of Purple Heart, wounded in Battle of Argonne Forest. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Donald E. Krestar officiating.
