  HAY
  
  Nell P. Hay, 95, formerly of Berlin and Portland, Ore., died July 24, 1985,
  at Somerset Community Hospital.  Born April 19, 1890, in Brothersvalley
  Township, daughter of Samuel W. and Sarah (Walker) Hay.  Preceded in death
  by parents; sisters, Margaret Saler and Mary Wilhelm; and brothers, Fred,
  Harry, Robert, Edgar and John.  Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. 
  She was a school teacher in the Portland, Ore. area for many years.  She
  was a graduate of California Normal School and received graduate degrees
  from the University of Washington in Seattle.  Friends will be received
  Thursday (today) from 7-9 p.m. at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin,
  where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. James R. Ling
  officiating.  Interment, Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
