He was born Aug. 16, 1931, in Black Twp., a son of the late Frank and Amanda (Snyder) Hay. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Baer) Hay, a grandchild, 8 brothers and a sister. He is survived by these children: Lou Ann, wife of Dale Testa, and Connie, wife of William Murray, Shelia, wife of George Smith, and Duane and his wife, Angie (Hochard) Hay, all of Meyersdale. Grandchildren: Karl, Devon, Dana, Shannon, Eric, George Jr., Ashley, Duane Jr., and Deanna. Great-grandchildren: Anthony, Nathan, Keisten, Shane, Turner, Dylan and Sara. Also his long time companion, Wanda Bittner, and her family of Corriganville, Md., three sisters, Blanche Niehenke, Freedom, Grace Barron, Stoystown, and Ruth Neimiller, Somerset. Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday Pastor Emory Scholl officaiting.
