    Selmer E. Hay, 89, Mountain View Terrace Nursing Home, LaPorte, Ind.,
  formerly of Somerset RD 7, died Aug. 18, 1981, in LaPorte.  Born Jan. 23,
  1892, in Lincoln Township, a son of Newton and Annie (Lint) Hay.  Preceded
  in death by parents; his wife, the former Nettie G. Adams; a daughter, a
  son, a brother and a sister.  Survived by a son, Paul A., LaPorte, Ind.; six
  grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; 12
  step-great-grandchildren.  He was a member of the Husband United Methodist
  Church and Fraternal Order of Eagles 1801, Somerset.  Retired farmer.
  Friends will be received after 5 p.m. Friday in Robert H. Halverson Funeral
  Home, where service will be conducted Saturday 10 a.m., the Rev. Herbert
  Lohr.  Interment, Weller Cemetery.
