  MRS. ORVILLE HAY
  
    Verna E. Hay, 70, of Confluence RD 1, died Aug. 19, 1974, in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born Jan. 24, 1904, she was a daughter of Edward and
  Lillie (Bailey) Jeffries. 
    Surviving are her husband, Orville Hay; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Guthrie of
  Apollo; three grandchildren; and three brothers, Lloyd of Manchester, Mich.;
  Harry of Crestline, Calif.; and Ernest of Confluence; and a sister, Mrs.
  Fern Ream of Los Angeles, Calif.
    Funeral service was held Thursday afternoon, Aug. 22, in Hubert Funeral
  Home, Confluence, with Rev. Kenneth Dawson officiating.  Interment in Jersey
  Cemetery.
