Hay, 67, of Rolling Prairie, Ind., formerly of Somerset, died May 28, 1979, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, Ind. He was born Feb. 11, 1912, in Somerset, son of Selmer Hay of LaPorte, Ind., and the late Nellie Adams Hay. He lived in Rolling Prairie 21 years after leaving Somerset. He was a retired assistant supervisor of building maintenance of the Indiana Toll Road. He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Margaret Baker, in 1947. In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, the former Mabel Seese; one daughter, Mrs. Betty Meyers of Berlin; one step-daughter, Mrs. Eileen Wiggins, Buchanan, Mich.; four step-sons: Donald Seese of Somerset, Ronald of Augusta, Ga., Duane of Dravosburg, and Dalton, LaPorte, Ind.; a brother, Paul, of LaPorte, Ind.; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home where funeral service was conducted with the Rev. Paul Weber officiating. Interment, Weller Cemetery. Republic June 7, 1979 [H0616]
