Born May 28, 1926 in Black Township. Son of the late Frank and Amanda (Snyder) Hay. Preceded in death by brothers Albert, Clarence, Lester, Robert, Edgar and Ray Hay. Survived by wife, the former Doris A. Murray, and these children: Mrs. Kenneth (Terri) Livengood, Kaplan, La.; Theresa Brant of Somerset, and Bradley Hay of Rockwood. Also grandchildren: Amanda Dawsey and Jamie Livengood; Travis, Matthew and Angela Brant; Clairessa and Kaitlyn Hay and great-granddaughter Victoria Dawsey. Brother of Blanche Niehenke, Pittsburgh; Mrs. Jacob (Grace) Barron, Stoystown; Mrs. Charles (Ruth) Neimiller, Somerset RD 1, and Paul Hay, Ellerslie, Md. Long-time owner and operator of Hay's Tavern in Rockwood. Also retired truck driver with 30 years service for Interstate Service. Member of Teamsters Local 377. World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. Life member of the Rockwood American Legion Post 279 and the Somerset VFW Post 554. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Wilbur D.
