Hay Sr., 68, Friedens RD 1, died Oct. 31, 1995, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. He was born Nov. 9, 1926, in Somerset Township, son of Esther (Mort) Hay of Somerset and the late Orlo Hay. Also survived by his wife, Margaret (Ryman) Hay, and these children: William N. Hay Jr., married to the former Ellen Fritz, Berlin RD 3, and Sherrie A. Woullard, married to John Woullard Jr., Garrett RD 1; grandchildren: Lisa Swiller and Kari Filardi, Long Island, N.Y.; Jeremy and Jennifer Hay, Berlin RD 3. Preceded in death by his father; a daughter, Linda Clarkson; one sister Dorothy Auriemma; brothers; Jay Hay and Orlo Hay Jr., and one grandson, Richard L. Woullard. He was a brother of Mary Schlag, Moncks Corner, S.C.; John, Mount Pleasant; Betty Setinsek, North Lima, Ohio; Robert, Somerset; Richard, Berlin; James and Ralph of Rockwood, and Charles, Berlin. He was a pastor of the Rayman Church of the Brethren and retired employee of Fleetwood Folding Trailers. Veteran of World War II. Served as a technical instructor in the Army. Friends will be received in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the Rayman Church of the Brethren, Rev. Ronald Beachley and the Rev. Gerald Deffenbaugh officiating. Interment, Beachdale Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Rayman Church of the Brethren.
