According to Somerset County Coroner Wilbur D. Miller, Ledia M. Headley, 34, died of shock due to massive hemorrhage and acute alcoholism. Miller conducted an autopsy at the Somerset Community Hospital and reported that the deceased's blood-alcohol reading was .34. (A person with a reading of .10 is considered to be intoxicated.) The death was listed as accidental. Reports indicate that Headley went to a nearby bar alone on Dec. 4 and apparently fell several times while on her way back home. Sometime during the night, she went into the bathroom where she bled to death. Her body was found by John R. Parson, 47, with whom she resided. Obituary She was born in Saxton, May 5, 1947, and was the daughter of Mrs. Alvia (Hughes) Weaverling, Hyndman, and the late Earl Weaverling. Mrs. Headley had been a resident of Hyndman for the past 20 years. She is survived by two sons, Mark Headley and James Headley Jr., both of Hyndman; four brothers, Ray A. Weaverling, Larry Weaverling, Ricky Weaverling, all of Hyndman, and James Weaverling, Port Orange, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Alvenia Burkett, Mrs. Martha Whitford, both of Hyndman and Mrs. Freda Weaverling, Bedford. Friends were received at the Zeigler Funeral Home where services were conducted Tuesday, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Edward Murray officiating. clipping [H0648]
