Born Sept. 29, 1928, in Newark, N.J., son of Oliver and Alice (Lynne) Headley. Preceded in death by parents, and sister Elizabeth Locke. Survived by wife the former Katherine Louise Duralia to whom he had married Oct. 5, 1953, children Mrs. Barbara Hunt, Sandston, Va.; Mark O. Headley and Ms. Erica A. Headley, both of Somerset; grandchildren Heather Maupin, Sarah, Jessica and Laura Hunt; two great-grandchildren, Colette and Jacob Maupin. A member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Altoona, U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II. A 1946 graduate of Flemington High School, received his bachelor's of science in economics from Colgate University, his master's from Cornell University and his Ph.D. from New York University. He worked as an economics professor for Southern Connecticut State College until he retired in 1989. Friends received from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:30 a.m. Thursday at All Saints, Braddock Hills Catholic Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
