Born April 28, 1936, in Jerome, a son of the late John Martin and Mary (Olskewski) Hebda. Also preceded in death by a brother, Theodore. Survived by his wife, the former Rose Baroni; sons, Joseph E. of Pasadena, Md., and Stephen of Alpharetta, Ga., and one grandson, Zachery. Brother of John, Hershey; Henry, Flowermound, Texas; Helen Tomera, Johnstown; Nellie Hyland, Germantown; Ann Drzal, Genevieve Wallet and Florence Slezak, all of Johnstown, and Mary Jane Kozak of Jerome. Member of Our Lady of the Chesapeake Catholic Church and Our Lady of the Chesapeake Knights of Columbus, Council 10881, Moose Lodge No. 1315, and Franklin Lodge No. 2135. He was a retired tool and die maker for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Washington, D.C. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, Somerset. Funeral Mass will be conducted at 12 noon Saturday in St. John's Catholic Church, Acosta. Father Michael Lewandowski, celebrant. Committal in the Husband Cemetery.
