Born Jan. 12, 1892, in Somerset County, daughter of Austin and Bertha (Stufft) Hemminger. Preceded in death by parents; husband, William Heckman; brothers, Ned, Samuel, Harry, Earl and infant brother; sisters, Edith Hemminger, Emily Baer and Frieda Shaffer. Survived by sisters: Mrs. Annie Walker of Somerset; Myra wife of Clarence Miller, Sipesville; and Mary, wife of Mark Griffith, Hollsopple RD1. Member of Benscreek Lutheran Church. Charter member of Missionary Society of the church. Resident of Allegheny Lutheran Home for approximately 15 years. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell. Body will be taken to Benscreek Lutheran Church to lie in state from 10 a.m. Monday until time of service at 11 a.m., the Rev. Donald Swanson officiating. Interment, Thomas Mennonite Cemetery.
