  HEETER
  
    Donald E. Heeter, 72, of Windber went to be with his Savior March 20,
  2001, at home. Born Jan. 1, 1929, in Windber.  Son of Jesse and Carrie
  (Null) Heeter.  Preceded in death by parents.  Survived by wife of 50
  years, the former Joan Moors, and these daughters, Pamela wife of David
  Kornick, Windber, and Rhonda, wife of Larry Hoffman, Davidsville.  Also
  beloved granddaughter Jessica.  Brother of Gene, married to the former
  Sandy Betres, St. James, N.Y., and Susan, wife of Danny Gay, Douglas, Ga. 
  Marine veteran of Korean Conflict.  Member of Cambria Lodge 278 F&A.M.,
  Ancient Scottish Rite Lodge Council, Chapter Consistory, Altoona, Tall
  Cedars of Lebanon Allegheny Mtn. Forest 127, and American Legion Post 137
  Windber.  Deacon and elder of First Presbyterian Church, Windber.  Don was
  always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.  The family
  will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Meek Funeral
  Home Inc., Windber, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Pastor
  Ray Streets officiating.  Interment, Richland Cemetery.  Military graveside
  rite by Marine Corps, Reserve Center, Johnstown.  Masonic service at 7:30
  p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
