ALICE HEFFLEY

  Mrs. Alice Heffley, 85, died Wednesday, December 22, 1948, at the home of her 
son, Harry R. Heffley, East Main St., Berlin.  She was born April 1, 1863, in 
Brothersvalley Township, a daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Brougher Altfather.
  Her husband, Elmer E. Heffley, died several years ago.
  She is survived by the following children: Herman Heffley of Washington, D.C., 
Earl Heffley of Chicago, Ill., and Harry of Berlin, and a sister, Mrs. Agnes 
Robinson of Berlin.  An only daughter, Ruth, died many years ago.
  Mrs. Heffley was a faithful member of the Berlin Lutheran Church.
  Funeral services were held in the Johnson & Son Funeral Home Friday, December 
24, at 2:30 p.m., with her pastor, Robert S. Nagle, officiating.  Interment in 
Berlin cemetery.
