  LAYTON-HEFFLEY
  
    Dixie L. Layton-Heffley, 63, of Reading Mines Rd., Stoystown, died
  April 26, 1998, at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh.  Born Dec. 25,
  1934, in Paint, daughter of Willard and Mary (Shaffer) Berkebile. 
  Preceded in death by parents and first husband, Robert Layton. 
  Survived by her second husband, Paul W. Heffley, and these children:
  Robert Layton Jr., married to the former Leslie West, Venetia, and
  Laurie, married to Randy Humphreys, Hooversville.  Also stepdaughter
  Mary Jane, married to Max Haller, Pittsburgh; one granddaughter and 9
  step-grandchildren and a brother, Bruce Berkebile, Friedens. 
  Teacher's aide at the former Kantner Elementary School.  Member of
  Holy Family Catholic Church, Hooversville, and Stoystown American
  Legion Auxiliary.  Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
  Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home,
  Stoystown, where Wake Service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday.  Mass
  of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family
  Catholic Church, Hooversville, Rev. Romulus Rosolowski, OFM Conv. 
  Interment, Odd Fellows Cemetery, Stoystown.  Memorials may be given
  to the American Cancer Society, 168 W. Union St., Somerset, PA 15501.
