She was born Dec. 24, 1923, in Black Township and was a daughter of Oscar and Sarah (Caroulus) Poorbaugh. She is survived by her husband Melvin, Rockwood RD 1, three sons: Richard, Steger, Ill.; Howard, Chicago, Ill.; and Roger, at home; three daughters: Mrs. Dorothy Davis, Woodridge, Ill.; Mrs. Alice Marker and Mrs. Mary Vought, both of Somerset RD 1; three brothers: Jim Poorbaugh, Rockwood RD 3; Charles, Monongahela City; and William Poorbaugh, Garrett RD 1; four sisters: Mrs. Viola Yoder, Rockwood; Mrs. Mary Albright, Garrett; Mrs. Alice Price, Georgia; and Mrs. Elsie Baughman, Rockwood; and 12 grandchildren. She was a member of the Garrett Senior Citizens Group and a member of the Christian Gospel Tabernacle of Rockwood. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the William J. Wood Funeral Home with the Rev. Arnold Ansell officiating. Interment, Rockwood IOOF Cemetery.
