Born Dec. 14, 1936, in Berlin, daughter of Mildred (Holland) Zorn, Berlin, and the late Clyde Zorn. Also preceded in death by husband J. Floyd Heiple on April 28, 2005, aunt Hazel and uncle John Dickey, loving cousin Emily; aunt Alma and uncle Charles Huston; loving cousin John McGary; aunt Ruth Ling; and uncle James and aunt Mary Holland. Also survived by uncle Alvin "Chip" Ling, Johnstown; cousins Jack and Janice Dickey, and children: Cathy, Jill, married to Steve Miller, and John; Linda, widow of Robert Garanich, and children: Eric and wife Kristin, and Kelly; and Terry, Sandra and Barry Holland, Barbara Gardner, James Zorn and Donald Zorn. She was a special aunt Kay to Emily, Elizabeth, Whitney, and Isabella; and survived by special friend Heidi. She was a graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School, a longtime employee of Dr. George Gourley, a dedicated participant in Berlin's Whiskey Rebellion Celebration, and an avid card player, belonging to various bridge and 500 card clubs. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Berlin, Somerset OES Chapter 138, Pius Spring Women's Club, and Berlin Historical Society. A joint memorial service for Kay Ann and J. Floyd Heiple will be held at 1 p.m. May 15 at First Christian Church, Somerset. The Rev. Daniel F. Nicksich and the Rev. John J. Barchey Jr. officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, or First Christian Church. Arrangements by Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin.
