Heiple, 79, Saltsburg RD 1, died March 30, 1988, in Indiana Hospital. Born June 3, 1908, in Somerset, daughter of Wilson and Mayme (Gardner) Hoffman. Survived by daughter, Mrs. James (Judy) Lambert, Iselin; four sons: Dean H., Jennerstown; William Blair, Export RD 1; Ray E., Saltsburg; and Thomas L., Albany, N.Y.; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also survived by three sisters: Mrs. Ethel Saylor, Johnstown; Mrs. Robert Metzgar, Somerset; and Mrs. Marie Kuhlman, Avonmore; and one brother, Floyd Hoffman, New Mexico. Preceded in death by husband, E. Miller, in 1971 and one son, Robert; also four brothers and sisters. Member of Sons of Zebedee Lutheran Church in Saltsburg, Saltsburg American Legion Auxiliary and the Bell Avon Woman's Club. Friends will be received Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Joseph R. Hunter Funeral Home, Saltsburg, where service will be held Saturday at 8 a.m. with Rev. John Hanks officiating. A combined service with her brother, Clark Hoffman, will be at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Church in Edie. Interment, Beams Reformed Church Cemetery. Daily American, April 1, 1988 [H0732]
