  MURL R. HELMICK
  
    Murl R. Helmick, 52, Berlin RD 3, died Oct. 18, 1975, at his home.  Born
  July 24, 1923, in Hendricks, W. Va., he was a son of Shirley and Zetta
  (Wagner) Helmick.  He was preceded in death by a son, Harry, in 1959; his
  father and a twin sister.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Vera Mae Hutzell; a daughter, Mrs.
  Ruth Ann Durkin, and two sons, James and Scott Michael, all at home; his
  mother, Mrs. Zetta Knapp, Hendricks, W.Va.; and a brother, Floyd, of
  Hawthorne, Calif.
    He was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Berlin; and a
  member of Local 550 Amalgamated Food Employes [sic] Union.  He was the
  assistant manager of the Berlin A&P until it closed and a graduate of the
  Allegany Trade School in Cumberland, Md.
    Funeral service was held in Johnson and Son Funeral Home, Berlin, Monday
  afternoon, with Rev. George E. Buechner officiating.  Interment in Union
  Cemetery, Meyersdale.
