Born Feb. 24, 1907, in Lincoln Township, son of the late George and Alice (Fritz) Hemminger. Preceded in death by a son, Eugene; grandchildren: David and Carley; and a sister, Edna. Survived by his wife, the former Alma Good; and these children: Roy E., Somerset RD 2; Mrs. Harry (Alice) Kimmel, Sipesville; Clarence, Pulaski, Pa; James, Boswell RD 2; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Brother of: Mrs. Odessa Swank, Somerset RD 6; Mrs. Everett (Irene) Landis, Shanksville; and Mrs. Dwight (Mable) Long, Friedens RD 2. Member of the Christ Casebeer Lutheran Church, retired dairy farmer and miner. His death ended a marriage union of 56 years. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. George Walton officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
