  HEMMINGER
  
  Jacob Earl Hemminger, 78, Friedens RD 1, died March 23, 1985, at
  Somerset Community Hospital.  Born Feb. 24, 1907, in Lincoln
  Township, son of the late George and Alice (Fritz) Hemminger. 
  Preceded in death by a son, Eugene; grandchildren: David and Carley;
  and a sister, Edna.  Survived by his wife, the former Alma Good; and
  these children: Roy E., Somerset RD 2; Mrs. Harry (Alice) Kimmel,
  Sipesville; Clarence, Pulaski, Pa; James, Boswell RD 2; 16
  grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  Brother of: Mrs. Odessa
  Swank, Somerset RD 6; Mrs. Everett (Irene) Landis, Shanksville; and
  Mrs. Dwight (Mable) Long, Friedens RD 2.  Member of the Christ
  Casebeer Lutheran Church, retired dairy farmer and miner.  His death
  ended a marriage union of 56 years.  Friends received from 2-4 and
  7-9 p.m. Monday at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home, where services
  will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. George Walton
  officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.  Family
  requests contributions be made to a favorite charity or Christ
  Casebeer Church.
