    Martha E. Hemminger, 76, Central City RD 1, died Aug. 9, 1993, at
  Siemon Lakeview Manor Estate.  Born June 22, 1917, in Garrett,
  daughter of Charles and Maude (Beal) Koontz.  Preceded in death by
  parents; daughter, Marty Pichelli; sons: Jack and Bobbie Batch;
  brothers: Bob, Walt, Ralph, Leroy, James and Charles Koontz; sisters
  Dorothy Jones and Claire Harmon.  Survived by husband, Ernest D., and
  these children: Maude Kulon, Margate, Fla.; Pete Smith, Cumberland,
  Md., and Richard Smith, Atlanta, Ga.  Grandchildren: David and
  Jennifer Batch, Lisa and Veronica Kulon, Georgie and Libby
  Pichelli.  Sister of Leonard Koontz, Somerset; Jack Koontz, Columbus,
  Ind.; Jean Dick and Kay Shawley, both of Jerome; Betty Cook,
  Salisbury, and Carolyn Rodman, North Carolina.  Member of Somerset
  Christian Fellowship.  Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7
  to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will
  be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. William Dodson
  officiating.  Interment, Berlin IOOF Cemetery.  Memorial
  contributions may be given to Gideons International, P.O. Box 31,
  Friedens, PA 15541
