  HEMMINGER
  
  Samuel J. Hemminger, 82, Friedens RD 2 died July 2, 1976, at Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born May 31, 1894, in Jenner Township, Somerset
  County, a son of Austin H. and Bertha (Stufft) Hemminger.  Preceded
  in death by parents, infant son, three brothers and two sisters. 
  Survived by widow, the former Annie A. Speigle, and these children:
  Richard, married to the former Margaret Shaffer, Boswell RD 1; Hazel,
  wife of James Fluke, Ebensburg; Rita, wife of Donald Yoder, Boswell RD
  1; and James, married to the former Hester Shockey, Glen Rock; 8
  grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.  Brother of: Laura, widow of
  William Heckman, Allegheny Lutheran Home, Johnstown; Edith, Somerset;
  Annie, widow of Allen Walker, Somerset; Myra, wife of Clarence Miller,
  Somerset RD 3; and Mary, wife of Martin L. Griffith, Hollsopple RD
  2.  Member of Friedens Lutheran Church.  Prominent retired Jenner
  Township farmer and past director of Production Credit Association,
  Uniontown.  Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
  Tuesday at Joseph H. Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St.,
  Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev.
  Gregory R. Pile.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.  It is
  the wish of the family that the funeral be delayed because of family
  members being in distant states.  In lieu of flowers, family requests
  donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
