Hengst, 50 of Hyndman, died Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at WMHS Sacred Heart Hospital. He was born February 20, 1957 in Cumberland, MD, a son of the late Clarence W. and Hilda B. (Burkett) Hengst. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Clarence W. Hengst Jr. in February. He is survived by his wife of 30 years whom he married December 1, 1976, Jeannie A. (Campbell) Hengst; sons: Mark D. Hengst and Chris L. Hengst, both of Hyndman; father and mother-in-law, Glenn and Sara Ann Campbell, Hyndman; brother-in-law, Jeff Campbell and wife Jan, Madison, AL; sisters-in-law: Jenny Shipley and husband Tom, Buffalo Mills; Janet Miller, Hyndman; nephews: Sean, Tommy, Chad, Tanner, Jeremy and Eric; nieces: Jessica and Linda; great nephews: Tyler and Ethan. Mr. Hengst worked as an electrician for 4 Guy's Stainless Inc. in Meyersdale for 30 years. He was a member of the First United Church of Christ, the Church Consistory, and was a Sunday School Teacher. He was also a member of the Hyndman Londonderry Lion's Club and a Trustee at the Hyndman Campground. Friends were received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service was conducted at the First United Church of Christ, Hyndman on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Tomislav Dosch officiating. Burial followed at the Hyndman Cemetery, Hyndman. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to First United Church of Christ, Hyndman, PA 15545.
